Wired Magazine recently had a story about the top eight ingredients in OTC sleep aids.
CAN’T SLEEP? YOU’RE not alone. Some 70 million Americanshave chronic sleep problems, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And it’s about far more than feeling tired all the time. Sleep deprivation is a contributor to a host of medical issues ranging from obesity to mental illness to “poor quality of life and well-being.”Christopher Null, Wired Magazine.
You’ve heard of them all before.
Melatonin, Valerian Root, Chamomile, Lemon Balm, and Tryptophan.
Along with a test of three of the top-selling supplement blends: Somnis, Serenity, and Luna.
Guess what the results were:
“When looking at the overall amount of sleep I got while using a single supplement, L-tryptophan came out on top.”Christopher Null, Wired Magazine
Tryptophan ended up with a highest ranked score 7.53, out of all the sleep aid ingredients listed, beating out all of the the above.
