Contrary to popular belief, more is not better. At Turkey Sleep we researched and reviewed the dietary needs of the body in relation to the B Vitamins and found that for the specific blend that we include (Vitamin B5, B6, and B9), excessive additional amounts had no effect.

The B vitamins are hugely important to daily health. Vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid, is an essential nutrient that plays a huge role supporting life.

Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, is an essential nutrient that plays a huge part in molecule building within cells, and is often lost during food processing.

Vitamin B9, also known as folate or folic acid, is again an essential nutrient, vital for proper adrenal and nervous system health.

These three B vitamins play an important part of the Tryptophan metabolism which is why they are included in Turkey Sleep.

Remember, the body only needs a certain amount of these molecules to complete certain biosynthesis reactions, and you are already getting some of them from the food you eat, so there is limited benefit to taking thousands of percent over the heavily researched RDA requirements.

Turkey Sleep blends the vitamins B5, B6, and B9 into our pure Tryptophan because the biosynthesis pathway requires these vitamins in order to be be carried out. It’s just not possible for the body to convert Tryptophan into Serotonin and onwards to Melatonin without these vitamins present, along with some sunlight.
